Macao Health Economics Association visits Hengqin Business Service Bureau for exchange

On the afternoon of the 22nd of this month, a group of seven members from the Macau Health Economics Society visited the Business Services Bureau located in the Hengqin Guangdong Macau Deep Cooperation Zone. The meeting was received by Zhao Jinliang, Director of the Market Supervision Department, and Li Zhaoying, Deputy Director of the Business Registration Department. The two sides had in-depth exchanges on topics such as the Hong Kong Macau Drug Device Connect, drug device registration and supervision.
At the meeting, President Liu Ziming emphasized that the association is committed to uniting young elites, promoting the spirit of patriotism and love for Australia, and actively promoting the effective and fair distribution of health services. He pointed out that the society values evidence-based decision-making processes and supports the use of scientific and economic methods to evaluate the cost, efficiency, and effectiveness of health services. At the same time, it encourages innovative research methods and interdisciplinary exchanges to deepen understanding of health economic issues and develop response strategies.
Director Zhao Jinliang introduced the phased achievements of the integrated development of traditional Chinese medicine in the Greater Bay Area, including the approval of Macau''s traditional Chinese medicine for listing on the mainland, and the increasingly perfect development ecology of the traditional Chinese medicine health industry in Macau and Hengqin. He mentioned that the continuous increase in the number of traditional Chinese medicine health enterprises and products, as well as the gradual enhancement of brand value, will help Macau enterprises'' traditional Chinese medicine products enter the mainland market and further build Macau''s traditional Chinese medicine brand industry.
Xia Sujian, the supervisor, stated that the association encourages the Macau industry to fully utilize the policies of the mainland and the Shenzhen Cooperation Zone to create more "Macau registered+Hengqin produced" brands. He proposed to promote the use of the Guangdong Macao Cooperation Traditional Chinese Medicine Technology Industrial Park as a platform, strengthen cooperation with mainland provinces and regions such as Guangdong and Sichuan in the traditional Chinese medicine industry, simplify the approval process for the listing of Macau Chinese patent medicines in the Greater Bay Area, and gradually promote the listing of other dosage forms of Macau produced Chinese patent medicines in the Greater Bay Area and other regions in mainland China.
The meeting was also attended by Guan Meng, Director of the Commercial Service Bureau, Nie Yuan, staff member, Chen Qi, Vice President of the Society, Zheng Junxian, Chairman, Chen Yongtong, Secretary General, Ma Junjie, Executive Director, and Du Peiji. This visit and exchange have deepened the cooperation between Guangdong and Macao in the field of health economy, laying a solid foundation for future project development.
