The First Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area Health Economy Forum - Background Introduction

The "Establishment of the Macau Health Economics Society and the First Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area Health Economics Forum" event, led by the Macau Health Economics Society and the University of Macau, and jointly organized by colleagues from Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macau, is scheduled to be held on December 15th this year at the University of Macau. Colleagues, experts, and scholars from the health and economic fields of Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao will gather together to share and exchange information on the latest developments in the health and economic construction of the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area. They will discuss the difficulties and challenges faced by the health and economic fields, as well as the development plan for the health industry in the new era. The event is guided by the Macau Drug Administration, hosted by the Macau Society of Health Economics and the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Macau, and co organized by the Guangdong Society of Health Economics, the Macau Federation of Medical Professionals, and relevant colleagues in Hong Kong.
The establishment of the Macau Health Economics Society not only marks the establishment of a social bond and exchange platform for the governments, medical institutions, and industry practitioners of the three regions, but also effectively promotes cooperation and exchange among the three regions. At the same time, it plays a positive role in promoting the social and economic development of Macau and improving people''s health standards, which is of great significance.
This event is divided into two parts:
Firstly, the grand establishment ceremony of the Macau Health Economics Society was held,
The second is to hold the first Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area Health and Economic Forum.
The forum will be divided into two topics:
1. Innovation and progress in the integration of medical devices and health technology assessment in Hong Kong and Macau: Exploring the application of medical devices and health technology assessment in the Guangdong Hong Kong Macau Greater Bay Area and the challenges they face.
2. Cooperation and Challenges in Medical Security System and Traditional Chinese Medicine Industry Construction: Discuss the current status of medical security systems in various regions of the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area, explore the challenges and future opportunities for cooperation in the traditional Chinese medicine industry.
